I like your image,Donna,the B/W effect is very nice,but if I was there I'd probably try an alternative-lower-angle of shooting so as to show more of the car contrasting with the sunset sky. Regards,Kostas

Very good silhouette...an old Beach Boys type car would have been cool....Never fear to comment on any of photos..although I have had cameras over the years I am just a weekend photobug, family members are just to darn nice to ever comment other then "Great picture Bill"...I like the comments on usefilm, let's me really see what other think...good or bad.. I have learned a lot from suggestions and comments (could care less about rating and points), of course is nice to see lots of comments when I get a 'lucky' shot. Always wanted to take photography classes...Composition is my weak link. Thanks again for commenting on my image. Bill

*argh* just wrote a long reply to have the server hiccup on me.
The long and the short of it was:
-great choice of subject for a silhouette, its an original idea that works very well. Also I think this coulnd't have been anything but b&w - though Im guessing tyour class required this anyway. For a longtime windsurfer this captures the feeling perfectly - sun, sand and boards (though saab 900s arent really surfers cars ;) )
As for the scan - don't have much knowledge about this, but looks fine in this size. Though if you really need good quality for editing you may want to look into professional scanning.
