About This spider is sometimes called the X spider because of its leg positioning when on the web. It's actually a Black & Yellow Argiope. A very large common spider in South Louisiana.************************Length of subject: Approx. 3" including legs.

3 inches long !! Wow thats an insect ! anything that big up here would have a special hunting season on it . Great shot, excellent color and all, but 3 inches ! man I can't get over that. jimc

Very nice macro here Ronnie! Good colors and the sharpness is very good here. I like how the web turned out too! That zig zag on the bottom is very interesting. A nice photo to look at...
