Hi Micky I just had a look through your adorable portfolio. Soooo beautiful flower macros. Stunning! This one is also very impressive because the autumn colors are showing advantage in this back light. Fantastic shots. I hope some day I will be able to take pictures like these. Best regards, Brigitte.

Mickey - you have some wonderful images here. you might enjoy a visit to my portfolio, particularly some of the lotus shots.
I really like the strong backlighting in this image. I think someone else is correct about needing just a bit more USM in PS.

I see you are becoming an addict Micky. This looks much better on screen than I remember when it was projected at DPS.Just a slight tweak with some USM would help.
regards John

Hi, Micky! Wonderful work! I like backlighting too, it's beautifully lighting the seed pods! Great! Regards, ALexey. The special autumn mood is given to this picture by beautiful droplets! Thank you, Micky!

hello Ronnie, what you see are seed pods not leaves, they are quite trasparent withthe backlight ,you can see the seed within, they dry off and drop the outside casing leaving a lovely silver disk used for winter indoor decorations. The correct name is Lunaria-Cruiferae.I am not sure the country or origin, but was grown in Victorian English Cottage Gardens.Grows well here in New Zealand. Micky.

Yes, and the back lighting here looks great! I like how you can see the water drops right through the leaves!

Micky, good job of isolating this particular stem. The backlight was an excellent choice in this shot. Clarity looks good as well as the composition. Strange looking leaves on this plant, where is it native to.
