Bjorn, I know that you know now that the main problem is underexposure. So I won't bug you with it. But some "positive comment" here that you deserve! The subject of the picture is very original. We se two nice flemmish farming horses and that is not something we se often. The "documentary aspect" of the subject is very interesting. At least to me. And it is well shown by the fact that they (the horses)are close to us. So I tell you that it is good composition. That is a real good point. This photo has great potential. Just by adjusting the levels to a more balance exposure, this will be a very well done interesting photo. Keep going :-) Suzanne
Hi, Bjorn! I have to agree with Matej about the levelness of the image. Even if you're positive that the camera was level, it 'feels' funny because so many things are telling the brain that it's 'off'.
I also agree with Matej (no original thought here? LOL) about how dark the image is. I think the under exposure adds to the sense that the horses' noses are velvety soft, but in this case, too much detail is lost.
You also might consider changing the name to something like "Workers" or "Flemmish Team". I love horses and really feel like they're underappreciated for their strength and willingness to work together.
Perhaps you could change the brightness and repost?
I have a couple of technical remarks on this one. First, the camera does not seem to have been level (tree trunk? on the left edge, and the horizon). Second, the image appears to be underexposed. Opening up a stop would have helped. You can still brighten it up in PS.
