About Not to put myself in the same category as Jim, but it's 3 a.m. on a Saturday & the regular crowd shuffled in, & I was trying different filters and techniques & voila', my bright pink lily turned blue...so Jim my friend, this is for you. I know it's kind of dark. I don't know how to get the beautiful glow you do so well, but none the less, here it is.

Hello Elizabeth. I can see you have done a lot of creative work the past few weeks when I was on my vacation. This is a very "different" image, I think it is because of the "unnatural" lightning. I don't mean that negatively, it is very creative I think. Although the lily looks a bit strange, it really is beautiful and keeps the viewer interesting. Well done!

Hi Elizabeth:

Sorry to be late, but I'm honored you thought of me -- at 3AM no less. Although if you were turning pink lilles blue, I see why I might have crossed your mind. It's a beautiful job. I love the glows, and especially the way you've burned in the background to dramatically frame the image.

Our nanny of 12 years is a lady from the Phillipines who adores gardening and has turned our rocky little yard into a mini botanical garden. As it happened, on Saturday she showed my some hydrangas (sp) she has grown from cutting taken from a neighbor's bush. The thing is that these hydrangas are blue and the neighbor's are all pink. She thinks it's because of different nutrients in the potting soil she used, she didn't mention anything about Photoshop!

Thanks again, Elizabeth. I'm deeply honored.

Best,
Jim

You were saying that you were in fact drawn to blue - Maybe the reverse is true too ) This is a gorgeous colour amid cracking detail and thoughtful background. I love it, and require seven of your finest!

Cheers, Bob

Beautiful, beautiful colors Liz. I guess I'm drawn to dark backgrounds 'cuz I really like this one, and many of my wildflower pics have them. Nice work.
