I don't see the spectre, but this image doesn't need one, it's a beauty anyway. The lines of the monuments are perfect, and then there's the added interest of the trees, which makes this better than most images of this kind of cemetery you see, which tend to be a bit too monotonous. Great work!

Thanks for the kind words, Jim. I chose the National Cemetery for my first IR work for a number of reasons. It?s a somber yet beautiful location with stark contrasts and much greenery, which usually produce good IR results. The monuments give me a subject to use as compositional elements. And I thought the otherworldly look of IR would lend itself well to this hallowed location.

Great shot Andrew, I was looking for an IR filter this weekend in Madison ( the other Capital)gotta order from Internet I guess. Back to your deal here, I like this one and would like to know why you picked this place to try IR out ? Its a natural , great image. jimc
