About I have tried a closer crop (see .Atrophy.). You lose the fact that maybe it's a ship, but get more detail in the deterioration. Comments appreciated.

I like it a lot more cropped like this. Personally, I would have taken a bit more out on the right, avoiding the edge of the wall on the picture.
But it's really great. You also have less tonal values, which centers the interest more.
