What an eye you have for beauty, Lissa... I can feel your swooning and your awe.
You write: "How can such a mystery be photographed ? What is left for us but pure amazement ?" Yes!
Perhaps like you, I turned to photography in the last three years because the heart stumbles for words in the midst of this vast, unknowable mystery, and yet longs to participate somehow, to speak.
I love what Garry Winogrand said about a photograph not being what was photographed, but a brand new fact. Isn't the photograph, like all of life, this very moment, timelessly present, effortlessly here, fresh, vital, new?
To see afresh is to fall in love. The simple but boundless joy of seeing, unfolding, flowering. It keeps us awake at 4 am with the crickets.

Excellent shot Lissa. nice portrait with good expression,gray toness, lighting,etc..IMHO if you trim a little bit on the bottom the composition is better.best regards..
