About Captured this tiny butterfly early one morning before the dew had dried. Crawling around in a field of waist high wet grass and redbugs at 6:30am makes one wonder what's the purpose. I guess to get a shot that most sane photographers are not willing to do.

this is an excellent composition...but the detail and the clarity are what is really outstanding...the drop on the underside of the leaf is a wonderful reflection all the world around...the detail in the butterfly and the dew on the leaf is top notch...and your colors are pristeen...an outstanding macro

Man Ronnie you are doing some great stuff! Another winner. I hope your making money on these wonderful shots and yes it pays to do what others may not want to. Been there done that, always worth it!

Bob, no reflectors were used, just good ambient light. I shoot all my macros during the first and last hour of light or anytime during cloudy days. Never use a reflector and rarely use a flash.

Ronnie - another striking photograph. This has a lot of good elements - the vibrant yellow that contrasts with the green, the heavy dew on the leaf, the drop on the underside of the leaf, and of course the sharp focus.

Just curious - only ambient light, or did you use a reflector?
