Andy, excellent shot! I like the lighting alot. Especially the break in the shadow over the lamppost. The colour version works better than the B&W one in my view, because the tones and lighting are very natural. No need to obscure clashing colours; even the pink thing in the girls hand works fine for this image. Why did you choose this composition? I would have cropped a bit off the wall on the left, eventhrough the additional space left adds a sence of serenity. Well done (and thanks for your comment to "fixed numbers II")

This could be anywhere from the good old Midwest to downtown Fresno. Fresno sure has changed. I really like the quality of light, which to me ought to be harsh, but it's not. The girls I'm wondering about. I guess I'm seeing it from an L.A. perspective where people here rarely walk to get anywhere, which is a shame. I like your choice of the square format. Oh, and thank you for your comments and thoughts about Stanton Feed Store!

Maybe you're right, George, about a tighter crop, but I wanted to leave some empty space on the right, the space they are looking into. Also, I like the dark window behind that girl with the phone, and the T-shirt hanging there that reads "Hustler." I intended that comment to be part of this shot.

The world of women. One is talking to the phone and one is smoking. Two very particular moment in the life of a woman. I'm joking. I love your picture. Why don't you try to convert also in b/w. Sorry for my english Cecilia
