Hi, Carole! I'm very glad you are back, really! I like this one very much, I think In B&W The forms of flowers or something else can be shown perfectly, and you had made it so! I'm admiring with ...how accurate you had converted this to B&W, perfectly, Light is great in my opinion! In B&W it looks well, so artistic! Congratulation! My war regards, Alexey. Thanks for comments.

Yes, picture could be a tad sharper. Why don?t you download from Internet the program FocusMagic. The trial version is free and its only shortcoming is that it must be applied to the final, resized image. A picture like this would respond well to a medium soft filter at 2-3 pixels. I don?t know if you shot this in color. If such is the case, after the treatment try converting to sepia, instead of B&W. Best regards, augusto.

This is also very nice. The lighting is a little softer so you get different results. Very good work. Like to tone. Don.

The petals are lovely and fresh and the main bloom is well presented in the composition. I agree that the contrast is a little flat. It also doesn't seem quite as sharp as the gazania.

the shape of a begonia is beautiful as is ...you seemed to have used a warm gray here...I do think just a bit more contrast, as Graig said (not a lot) to give it a little kickstart...the composition is excellent and the focus just a bit soft, but I think this image was intended that way...the flowers are such soft beauites

Hi Carole; I like this composition very much-- and also the subject. The only-- and it's slight-- technical shortcoming is the lighting is just a bit flat. At least on my monitor, I would like to see a little more contrast. However, this soft look certainly has it's own charm too. Nice work!
