So gorgeous this one too! I couldn't chose... I think they are both so lovely! The other one was more a feeling of shared curiosity, while this is more love. I wont complain on composition here, I think it's perfect!

.....they're both good, but if forced to choose, I prefer the other. This is just slightly soft, and neither face is visible. That said, this is still a very good photo, and I would just try sharpening it a bit.

Karen, such a darling capture. I agree with Jim on the blurring/softening especially the grasses in the background, but I thing the subtle colouration works best for this image.
Her seemingly nuzzling into him is what helps this photo even though their faces cannot been seen. That little action is there, and very sweet. :)

Well, "Brothers in Arms" comes to mind. Thanks for your recent comments ::blush:: -- you're very kind :)
Did you adjust the focus at all in PS? I'm perplexed why the faded jeans and some of the grass stems are so sharp, but the rest of the scene so soft. Just very shallow DOF I suppose from deep shade. You might try fooling around with different blur filters -- start with Gaussian -- to soften those sharp bushes and give the whole scene a more dreamy feel.
A restrained touch of the Distort>Diffusion filter might also add to the mood by diffusing the highlights -- diffusion usually works well with soft focus scenes. Finally, I don't think it would hurt to pump up the handpainted color just a bit -- perhaps color the hat and add more color to the little girl's hair.
Did you finish up the PS project you mentioned a couple of weeks ago (just as I was departing on vacation). If not, I'll be around tomorrow if you want some help. I'll check e-mail in the AM tomorrow.
