It is well seen of you. It is a moment open for interpretations. So it hurts a bit to read your explanation. I could think of a couple more. I mean, better to let the viewer decide.

Yes, it has. The figure on the left is the Pope and on the right is his chair. The shot was done in S. Pietro Plaza, Rome. By composing the photo giving relevance to the chair and puting the Pope as a secondary figure, i intend to show the physical decadence of the actual Pope and his inability to continue in such an important position as the major representative of catholic church (represented by his chair). The idea come to me when i saw him aproching the chair...i had no chance or time to search for a better composition or light, so, of course, the picture is far from perfect.
