About I've always liked this solitary, crooked olive.First I took a shot of some clouds and then,on the same frame, took the tree. Before that I changed the A.S.A. from 100 to 200 to get the exposure I needed.Later,at home I manipulated the image in photoshop to get the painterly effect I wanted

Thanks for the input on the double exposure. I've been wanting to experiment with that on my camera. What would you suggest about taking a full moon behind clouds and then a person in the same frame? I've read about it, but now I would really like to try it.

Nanette,I'm afraid I haven't got the origional pre-ps. copy at hand but I'll put it up when I find it again it's in one of the many albums on the shelf. As for the double exposure, you have to double the ASA say from100 to 200 if you want to put 2 shots on the same frame while maintaing the same aperture.Either that,or double the speed from 125 to 25o.I have a Chinon CE4 which I occasionly use for this kind of shot as it has a multi-exposure button - wish my other ,more 'modern`cameras did!I`llput up another shot in which I used this technique now-hope you like it!
