Guy, this is a very emotional photo. Very good lighting and positioning of barns. I love it. I bet time would have many stories to tell. The wild flowers adorning the barns having a little softer focous adds to the photo.

This has fine possibilities! Please don't cut off the peaks of the barns. You might have stepped back a little to take in more area with your 50 mm lens, or if that was not possible, then have switched to a vertical format to include the top of the near barn and just exluded the far one. That would probably improve the composition anyway. I also think LESS exposure would help the color saturation and show the barn's texture.
