Aziz, with my current monitor settings I cant see any detail in the black. Thanks for the heads up though. ALso your reply helped explain the title - now we know the worms destiny. :)

Marek, thank you for your comment. Maybe you have some right about the title and the project. About the background, I did not use PS to make it black. If you had another look to it, you will find that it is not black but it is a dark wall in shadow. This bird is called (Hoopoe). It has its nest in this dark wall (the background). It lives parts of Africa, Asia and Europe. I spent a lot of time in my room to take this shot because this bird was very careful that nobody know the place of the nest.

I was wondering what the title meant, then scrolled down to see that its in the "alone" project. Im not sure if the worm is a reference to the title. I guess if it hadn't swallowed the worm by that time, then it was intended for a different mouth. Anyway, the sombre emotion doesnt materialise for me, just not there. ALso, didd you use PS to get that black background?
BTW its a woodpecker isn't it?
