Interesting string of comments. Yes, there is much to look at in this photo. I really like the way Ken double duplicated the lines of Mount Burgess with the evergreens in the foreground. Wonderful use of a polarizer.

very cool effect with the transparency of the water - it gives the image a unique quality.

Not at all, Steve. The water line is very subtle, and difficult to distinguish directly below the dock. I do see the dock in the water after looking very closely. The reflection actually looks like part of the actual dock, suggesting (to the eye) the water to be higher.

No reflection of the dock? I clearly see the dock and the lights on the dock, reflected. Are you suggesting something Matt?

Considering the crystal clear reflections of the mountain, boat, etc, - I wonder why there is no reflection of the dock at all? Hmm..

that's so cool how you can see the bottom...
what a great photograph...you need to go back there in winter when the snow and frost comes:)

I couldn't agree more with Ben. This shot is different to the expected norm and I do not think it could be any better.

I disagree. I like the fact that you can see through the water, particularly the way the water only really appears transparent where it is reflecting the mountain. It makes it look even more like a sheet of glass.

Your signature shots are quite clear....reflections! You also have a natural eye for composition. Framage is dead on with this one. I love the lights on the house and pier. Unfortunately, the clear water hurts you on this one. Because it is so shallow, you can see all of the debri. It really ruins the beautiful work here. I am not photoshop savy, but you can do some work and posssibly save this shot. Great eye though.

Kenneth, another lovely shot. I have the same camera, and lens as you, so it's nice to see what can be achieved on this equipment!!
