Interesting shoreline capture! It looks almost like an abstract to me. (That's not unusual, most of the world looks like an abstract to me.)
Ken, you asked about the technique for creating Hooks. I am able to set my Canon D-30 for a long exposure. I probably use 2 - 4 seconds for this shot. These are Christmas lights in my neighborhood. I took a whole bunch of these, trying different camera movement. Also, I found that using a monopod to hold helped me control the movement better. - Best regards, Harlan
Great sight,even greater picture.I see you have some shots of Grand Canyon,another stunning sight. Thanks for your comments on my sunset.However I think a sunset is not a moving sight and it is a main subject ,by itself.But, I accept your point of view. Regards jorge
