You have recognized and used the nice light. There is a lot of grain, whether because of the watercolor effect or the scan. If it is the watercolor, maybe it needs to be even stronger to remove any doubt. Since the bird is not clear and needs to be explaned it is probably better cloned out.

The sky has suffered a little with the effect but the scene is definitely worth a number of visits under different lighting to try variations in the settings.

Interesting shot, well done, a minor critic: I don't undestand some aspect of the sky. But the image is nice.

I agree with Kaj. I think a little too much contrast may have caused a grainy appearance.

Great picture. I find the architecture very intriguing. Never having been to the Netherlands (except transit through Schiphol airport!) Don't mean to start a lengthy culture discussion, but I was surprised by the almost onion-domed spire on the church. Is that an orthodox church? I thought the country was predominantly protestant.

Excellent compoced, beautiful lightning and contrast , but if the efect is what given the gritty sky, I would have been better without that, I dont like it. regards Kaj Nielsen
