wonderful use of colour and lack there of..
ya know sometimes i see it the other way around..
where inside looks grey
and the outside a billiant breathing entity..but sometimes i see the image you have created..
i really like the fact that you are behind someone..it gives the photo more life and the feel that someone is sharing the same moment with you..
which is always nice...

I don't know if you remember this movie called "Rumble Fish," but it was done in black & white. Luscious tones, I might add, like this photograph. Anyway, the kid in the movie had an aquarium at home, with some very colorful fish. He had a rough life, but when he came home and sat in front of that aquarium, that was the only place in the movie that had colors. Vivid colors. And your photograph here reminds me of how selective coloration can emphasize what we are feeling internally in relation to what we see in our world.

Richard, if you can spend winters in Sydney, you are a lucky guy. Just by looking at your picture I feel my bones freezing.
Excelent selective use of colors. But what I like most is the winter mood coming right out from the window. Very good. Marília

Hi Richard, nice selective use of colour and B&W, it does look gloomy, I think we could really do with some rain it's been a long hot dry summer. Very interesting composition, I think the whole image expressed lonelyness and darkness of the person in image. Very good job. Croping would be better.
