Marcia,

The idea behind this image was sound but the final outcome is lacking. The lighting on the statue is the main problem here. There is too much contrast here, the detail in the statue is lost in the shadows. I think I know what you were going for here and it would have worked better if you would have had more direct lighting on the statue. If you can go back and re-shoot this when the lighting is more direct and then apply the blue cast to it, I think you will like the results better.

Good idea here, have fun and keep shooting.
