Oh how I love Tri-X, I normally reserve it for very detailed textures but you forget how well it represents high contrast images such as in your image. Be hounest, was this the desired effect or one of the stopped down brackets which just looked nicer?!! however you arrived at it the under exposure adds tons of mood and superb contrasts. The sshort depth of focus gives a lovely soft background for the subject though the blurred mic boom is a little distracting....I somehow doubt that asking him to move it mid performance was an option though?!
