I love Autumn leaves, but must confess finding this a bit depressing since I take that it must mean the leaves are turning. I live in a little coastal mircroclimate that's tempered by warm water and the trees here don't turn until mid-to-late Oct., by which time they are usually gone just a couple of miles inland.
My deep thanks for your comments on the "Time" series. Just don't change that medication! --Jim

A good selection of leaves with different colours but the background rock does not work for me, too drab. More moss, lichens, would be more interesting. The spacing of the leaves is also a problem, maybe much closer together would work better for my taste.

Excellent work with this one. Nice saturated colors with good layout of the leaves. I like the way the leaves contrast against the rock.
PS: Thanks for your critique on my Butterfly (Gulf Fritillary). I'm not sure what your point was about the backgrounds between mine and yours. I would not admit to being a purist but all the backgrounds in my shots are natural. The only blurring I do is to remove noise, mainly because the D100 produces more noise in the BG areas than the 10D. I hope viewers don't think I manipulate those backgrounds. I take great pride in using the right lens, lining up the best possible angle and many times shooting large apertures to get those matte looking backgronds. It's just the approach I use and if yours is different I also respect that but still may comment negatively because that is just my opinion. Many of your shots are professional grade and I really should comment more on them, Ronnie Gaubert.
