The old, the new, the sexy, and the blue. Almost a painting here, with the porportions and lines really driving the scene. I can look "into" this one for awhile...a lot going on; and yet, nothing.

Very nice work. I like to see how posters and publicity can interact with the city in surpising and almost surreal ways. But the Phily girl now (for us in Sweden) must be Victoria Svensson or Hanna Ljungberg. Are you aware of that there is a World Cup in soccer for women in your country? And some of the matches were held in Philadelphia.

Ah, yes, I can see why you like this one, John -- it's nicely framed by the car window, there's a sense of fleeting joy in her smile, and the rest of the landscape is nicely balanced.

Sometimes, a crop will do but most of the times I prefer the let the viewer to do the crop while viewing. When it comes to street photography, there are details that should be there, even though the don't play a major role in the comp. Here, I get a feeling that this is glimpse of a moment, all gone in the next second. A crop would give me a more static view. So good, John!

Cropping would be a mistake - which I am sure you know - it would totally ruin the "language" or tone of the photo - it is a moment (as seen and imprinted on our brain permanently) seldom captured. Photos that catch that are truly magical
Now what is daily language for one person is not for another...

there are photos they have to be done - this is one. There is no special reason but I viewed this longer, read the details (and your text) - like it

I like the shot John, I would have cropped the top part off and cloned the left edge - it looks like the top of a car? Keep up the nice work!
