A great capture and a beautiful picture, despite the desolate look of nature without GREEN! Maja, my friend! You are terrific! I love nature as it is and do not enhance or modify its colors. You want to change nature, to reform the scenario! So let us see:
1 - I agree that IF I HAD SPACE I would keep my lens and shoot my wife at the window including part of the ceiling and floor, thus creating a prettier image. I had no space and the resulting image, while not as good, pleased a lot of people.
2 - I worked for many years in the Amazon Jungle! It is GREEN all over, the whole year through. THe St Anthony Waterfall picture has even some nice clouds in the sky, and that is quite unusual since over there most of the pictures show a whitewashed sky. I can assure you that the rivers, when not muddy, are green too.
3 - Europeans, specially from the frozen North, seem to believe that we have seasons like Fall or even Winter. Well, we don?t. The other day I posted a photo of a Pará Nut Tree, that at 60m height is the tallest we have in Brazil. Some Northern European complained that all that green was hurting his eyes, so I removed the picture, converted to sepia and posted again. But I will not do that again.

Oh... poor swan... he looks so lonely and cold! A very emotional shot! Little bit grainy, probaly because of scanning. I think I would prefer this black & white actually, even if I think that this colored one is excellent too!

Like the sharpening! Works well when you've got all these nice texture things like tree branches and ground; plus it gives a wintery look. Like the water! Good job!! Cya!
