Dick; nice shot with beautiful color, and you are "right on" about this mushroom being deadly poisonous. We have them here in Oregon, USA and awhile ago several people ate them-- one died and a couple of the others had to have liver transplants to save their lives. This is Amanita sp.-- beautiful to look at, but not for eating!
