About	Isabel took out Grandview Pier, leaving only the Restaurant and Apartment above it. You can see how much was destroyed by going from the building to the pileons out in the water. Grandview was close to one hundred years old.

Wow . . . quite a powerful shot, now that I know the background behind it. It's heartbreaking to see something with historic value destroyed. Your choice of composition is excellent, as it conveys a sense of emptiness, loss and an ironic tranquility. If I might make a small nitpick - I would probably lose a bit of the beach (especially the part in the bottom left-hand corner) and favour the pole in the foreground as focusing more on a lone standing remnant of a hurricane could pack a lot of power.

Wonderful colour and exposure. I'm glad I came across this shot today. :)
