Thank you David for you lovely comments on my Dryad. Botticelli was a childhood favourite of mine as I looked through art books. I never gave him a conscious thought when I was doing this image, but I can see what you mean. :)
I find this very soothing, David, as if all's right in the world, and always will be. It's composed so well, and really supports that emotion, I think. I think the contrast and tones here work very well for this image, too -- they're quite different from your usual, I think, but work very nicely for this.
Hi David, what you've done with the light in here is amazing, to say the least. Fine, fine definition, splendid tones and a mood of Spring that we can feel miles away. Not sure if it is really Spring but one feels like it when looking at this outstanding picture. Marília
