Although I like the more saturated and warmer tones of the version modified by Roderik, I prefer the smoother skin tone of the original. Somehow the facial tones look 'cobblestoned' in the modified version. (Maybe a little oversharpened on the face in the modified version). If you feel so inclined, in photoshop you can selectively sharpen specific areas of an image, leaving facial surfaces smoothly blurred. Overall I would say this image works well, unmanipulated.
