Hi Charlie,
This is great, such a graffic image - wonderful colour splashes "daubed on thick". I love that it's semi-abstract, contains enough clues to let you work it out if you choose, but has a visual power on it's own as an image that's entirely independant of what it is.
Your graphic design experience shows strongly here I think

I like it but a stronger sense of motion might be interesting. I think that the very static scratches (?) have a negative impact in this regard.
