i think the picture is too dark adjusting the levels to make it really black... i know it should look better that way, but in this case the shadows on the shot make it look TOO dark in my opinion... i would suggest some sepia tone or anything that could achieve some better tones without making the picture too dark...
i hope you don?t mind... this is what i?m talking about..
nice shot by the way!!! i really like their expression and framing...

yeah, i dont really know how to do anything with photoshop, i kinda just push scan and hope for the best.. ehn..

This is a pretty cool picture. There's something catching about it that I like; it draws me in. You might want to work with your scans a bit more though with the Adjust Levels command... your blacks aren't quite black. Here's an example of a fixed one, which hopefully is more like your original print.
