What an incredible place. The clouds and sky are very menacing. You did a great job on the croping of this beautiful church. Outstanding work.

Lovely shot. Looks like its a great place. I always loved old English buildings and villages. Pity nowadays the buildings are so bland.

You must be pleased with your new camera--it seems to be working very well for you. The crispness of the image and the colours are beautiful. You mention post-take work with PS7. I'd like to think that wasn't replacing the sky, as I'd rather think that beautiful sky was the reason you took the photograph in the first place. It DOES look almost too good to be true (although I'm sure I wouldn't have thought that without your comment). A great photograph! And your PS7 technique must be of a very high standard, too.

Another excellent and interesting composition and subject. Beautiful soft lighting. If you're doing some of this is PS, I must say it's really well done to the point of being un-noticeable. The detail and colors in the stone buildings is really pleasing-- and there must be soooo much history in these old buildings.

It must be wonderful to live in such a beautiful old village Chris! You are really good in creating a special atmosphere to the old buildings. I guess I have figured out why.... the great skies!!!! Regards, Diana. P.S. I live in an old village too and never have been really interested in taking pictures of the old buildings, but you really have inspired me! So I will go out one of these day's to do some shooting on them. Thanks for the inspiration!

Chris, It appears that a storm is approaching on the other side of the church, based upon the coloring in the clouds. Sometimes it's easier to get the exposure right, without direct sunlight. Very nice! Regards, Mike

Beautiful exposure, you've managed to place the frame truly well. Reminds me the Norman Davies' work of the "The Isles" ..great piece of English history. cheers, D.
