Thanks for the comments. Kim, the skaters only did two or three jumps together, in quick succession, so I had no time to reset and expose for a different kind of shot with fill flash. Having to choose one or the other, I chose silhouettes because at least they would be dramatic. But, Kim and Lassitude, you're right, more exposure or fill flash could be good in this situation.
Having the two in-line skaters in the same shot really adds balance and interest to this image... the silohuette is cool as well, but I was also wondering if you tried to fill flash them to give them some detail? I really do like the silohuette though!
