About I took this photo in Sydney (Australia) during the partial solar eclipse of December 4, 2002. Smoke from a bushfire partially obscured the sun, and I was lucky enough to find myself in line with a flight path from the nearby Sydney International Airport! This has got to be my best photograph (so is there any point in going on now?!)

Superb eclipse shot...a rare event well captured.....

And, I did "correct" the tilt in my Venice Sunset shot....and posted it again...as you suggested.

Great sell potential. Get this into a magazine, stock!Would have been even better it the plane were mostly across the sun.

très cool shot Neil...
Really like the contrail effect from the engines.

Will have to keep my eyes open this summer (though hopefully the bushfires won't be as bad)

Neil - Is there a point to going on? How would you feel if you saw something like this or a bit different but equally stunning? How would you feel if you didn't have a camera with you to capture it? Of course you should keep going - you have vision. The world is a large and unpredictable place - enjoy it. - John

It IS a very good photograph, but you shouldn't quit now. Isn't Halley's Comet coming back some year? I might've cropped it just a bit tighter for even more drama, but it's a great shot. Good work!
