This really caught my because it looked so like a detail from a Velasquez or Caravaggio painting. They would have commeded the 'chiaroscura' (light and shade) of this fine image.Congratulations on your day of fame, courtesy of Kodak. It will look good in my Favourites folder.Best wishes. David

I have resisted commenting on this picture but every time I see it, I'm captivated. I can't add any constructive "advice", so let me just add my unimaginative "Wow!" to the other "wow" comments!

Very, very nice, Bonnie. Your whole portfolio is impressive, but I think this takes the award for my favorite of yours.

In a word WOW. This is a great photo on all points. Good tone, shadows, color, foreground and background. So this is what the D1 can do in the right hands. Right on.

Bonnie,

Great job, looks like something from the Barouque period. Wonderful effect! I really like the way the shadows hide half her face, it really sets this off. Again, good job!!
Later my friend,

Russ

Hi Bonnie. It was the thumbnail that drew me to this picture. It looked so much like an old master's painting. Nice work! I like the high contrast and the painterly feel to this image. Wish I had taken it.

Cheers!
Jeff
