This tree was being reflected in the very still water of a loch on Rannoch Moor. I turned the image upside down and desaturated it in Photoshop. I next made a copy layer. With this layer made invisible I used the colour balance control to create a bluish tint in the shadow tones of the base layer. Going back to the top layer I used the same process to produce a sepia tint in the lighter areas. I double clicked on this layer to bring up layer options and used the sliders to blend the effects of the two layers.
