About This is my niece, practicing her "sultry" look. How do you think she's doing?

It is amazing how the eyes can convey expression: this one shows an amused state of mind.
What a clean, clear and honest portrait!

david, you said or she said? this is not reletive, i find it absolutely a wonderful portrait and surely your niece is proud of this picture she can carry around and show everywhere in strong conviction. i think i see a carefully planned and well captured 'lucky shot'

Beautiful niece you got David. THe pic looks 60's MOD. :-P

Regarding your comments on my PINS picture...

These girls are 14 and 15... And they are into the Goth fashion, where smiling is kind of forbidden. They want to look bored, cool or pissed off. That is the way, so I let thme be themselves. I justa arranged the poses... The one on the left was the shy one. The one in the middle is the one "in charge" and the one on the right is just the cutest one trying to hide it on purpose (she is actually a blonde and dyed her hair red to make a statement...)

You can see more of them at http://www.clicstudio.com

Cheers

She is doing a very good job. Was it necessary to change the colour of her right eye, or is that just a glitch in the light? If not why didn't you change to other eye accordingly? The hair seems a bit oversharpened. If you want to draw the attention to the (already very sharp eyes and lips) why also sharpen the hair so much. That kind of distracts from the 'look'.
