Recently, almost unaware, I was attracted by something I couldn?t understand. This night I put some images together and suddenly all was clear: the everyday modern bleakness. That?s Rome, the capital town in Italy, where the tourists suppose there is just the Colosseum and Trevi?s Fountain...

Yes, and as we drive past it daily, we (as photographers) tend to look beyond the ordinary, searching for the next great shot. Thanks for reminding me of the photographic value of the every-day in my mission, Katia.

These is one motice where I will suggest a zoom lens. You could reduce space with a zoom lens. I personally would better move behind and use a 300mm Lens. Since you now have one, you could repeat this picture, with a tripod.

Ciao Max

Hm, nobody is waiting. interesting. I dont like very much the half part of the road, it is distracting my focus on your chair.

Hi Katia,

Yes, you have shown there is beauty also in bleakness. I agree with Ulf that the chair is special here.

Best wishes,

David

Yes of course Katia
Perhaps this photo will stand the test of time
better than a thousand postcards
The point in your image
as I see it
is that something is wrong
well that?s about sums up
the state of the world, doesn?t it?
The chair is awesome.
You also make me remember
Fellini?s film "Roma"
