I appreciate Fabio so much for his comments. There are many ways to provoke thought and discussion without sensationalizing child abuse. If this child is not a victim it seem inappropriate to title the image with such a harsh title. If she is a victim of some crime she certainly should not be displayed on a public site.

now now kevin, lets not get personal, Fabio is leaving his opinion on this picture, are we only here to praise and agree with each other?
ok, my thoughts,..........The title to me suggest some kind of child killer, but im expecting this is what is wanting to be acheieved, its understandable for people to be confused, its only human nature to not want to see a child as being a victim, as childhood is innocence.we all know this isnt for every child........the only thing that dosnt work for me here is taht th child apears to just be squinting in the light, she dosnt look victimised in anyway.......i think a smiling child would ahve had more impact, obviously u cant go and find an abused child to portray what u want....hopefully ..............anyway.........the pic has an old feel to it, the toning is cool, lighting is a bit harsh on her hair but is reminds me of a pic from the 70's. btw, i have seen your other child portraits and think that u do capture them at good moments.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

In response to controversey about my Victim Series- first let me assure you I am not an evil bad person. I simply was hoping to provoke thought and discussion with my work. I wanted to give 'faces' to the vistims in the world. Not glorify the situation- but to find the eyes of the child and let it tell us the story. I have been drawn to the sad and lonely child as a strong image-nearly everyone can relate to that feeling-as I can see by the e-mails I am receiving-it has had a reaction on some of you as well....
