Danny, I love your flower macros and find them very inspiring. This is my favourite so far; it's a great intimate of an exotic flower as well as an intriguing abstract. Like Sue, I think the background works really well, adding extra dynamism. I'd like to see a bit more of the stem, though I can't really say why.

Reminds me of the dancing hibiscuses in Fantansia. I can almost hear the strains of Tchaikovsky's music as the flower prepares to sway with the tempo.
Very graceful, Danny. I'm assuming you placed the palm frond behind - it makes a wonderful backdrop. Nitpick? I'd clone out that tiny yellow band where the frond petal separates. Truly only a nitpick.
