About	I was walking the edge of a marsh last winter, it was cold but no snow. I don't know what it was but I had to shoot this tree.It is not a good shot, my camera could not convey the feeling of that day.

I agree that you should go back to get the shot you want. I do that myself time and time again. However, there is a feeling to this picture. It gives me a feeling of nostalgia, I keep thinking of movies in long gone movie theaters, of long forgotten friends and memories. Very artistic shot. Bravo.

I too see the potential here. And John is right on with his suggestions...GO BACK and back again until you are satisfied. I have been to the same location over 15 times in certain cases before I was satisfied. Keep it up!

maybe it doesn't work because it just does not really convey "cold" or "winter"...perhaps a choice of B&W film would be better, with some dodging and burning and a focus on contrasts. or maybe you can go back to this site when there are more visible signs of winter to the viewer. i'm sure the feeling of that day will return sometime later this winter:). you know what you want from the shot, now keep going for it until you get it:)
