OK Spencer... Here is what I think....

First, go to Levels (not curves) Grab your midtones slider (the gray one) and move it to the left until the picture is washed out. Then grab your shadows slider (black) and move it to the right. The gray one will move to the right to so you might have to adjust it a little more. THen grab your highlights slider (white) and move it to the left a little bit. That should give u pretty much a whiter image all around. Apply. Then pick a white brush at 20% or so and start painting off the remaining shadows and "dirty" areas on the skin. Grab your burn tool and trace the edges of the eyes and areas that need it....

Look at Roger's picture. It is still gray and it actually got dirtier, not white. This is the easy, 1-minute way to do this.

Hope u like it. Let me know ok? Cheers

Thank you for your comments! Roger, I like the technique you used, with coloring the shadows. Thanks for the tip!

Hi Spencer, I don't know what help you asked for but I hope you don't mind I took your pic and in PS made a copy I gave it a soft light filter flattened it made another copy gave it a diffused filter and brought it down to 30% trans added a touch of red and yellow to the shadows..here it is, regards Roger
