Thanks for your comment (Niagara Falls pic). Love this shot of yours--saw the thumbnail, and thought, "this belongs in the Alone photo project!!" Sure enough. Love the diagonal lines, the wall/floor texture, contrast between her dark clothes and everything else around her, the crop (more space to the left, where she's looking). I'm trying to see if there's anything I'd improve--thought of the fact that her hands and feet are sharper than her face, but that's not altogether bad. So I'll stop nitpicknig and give you all 7's.

You have used the elements of composition very well. You subject placement is great with leading diagonal lines. There is plenty of background to establish context. Even the shadows of leaves on the wall contribute to the image.
I am ready to go to the Central Coast (from Bakersfield) to find something interesting to shoot!

Absolutely beautiful. The other was great as well, but I do prefer the more subdued color and slight crop. Composed beautifully, great pose, nice light and overall well done. Super work Donna.

Thanks Donna, and yah know-- I think I like this one even better as the more subdued colors actually draw the viewer to the subject rather than to the colors. The tone color is quite nice for this subject-- not quite sepia, but warmish and suiting the expression on the young woman's face. Nice work.

Pretty cool. Always go with what you like...others have to see it through your eyes.

This is quite nice! (I just posted a shot of a young woman sitting next to a wall too...!) Anyway, yours has a really nice, rich tonality to it, and I really like the way it's composed. The dark colors and profile on the model really make the shot too. Congrats..:)

The combination of a very simple, yet expressive compostion and the excellent tone you chose, makes this a great work. COngratulations for this success!
