I hope it's okay to put in photo pieces that have other mediums in them. I couldn't find any rules against it but if it's not just let me know and I'll take it down. Anyway, I recently got my first old school TLR camera, a Lubitel 2. I've been having problems focusing it up close and I've been experimenting with multiple exposures. Some of my slides came out blurry and overexposed. But being 120 size they were pretty much big enough to be seen on their own. I wanted to make a seasonal piece so I sorted through lots of slides and objects and thought about my memories of different seasons. I also thought about the colors and movement I feel describes that season, even if it doens't seem common. For instance, I have lived in Florida all my life and we don't get much leave color changes. In case you were wondering, the seasons going from top: winter, spring, wummer, and fall (I dind't want to end things on a cold note, winter makes me feel depressed). They are about 8x 10 in size and each framed individually witha simple thin black frame (like I've arranged here).
Paul Slaughter- what did I use to attached everything to the mat board? Just a glue stick. Not very much glue, just a dab here and there. The glass form the frame should hold everyone in place after that but I'll have to see howit holds up :). Then I just scanned everything on a scanner from work. The slides were really over exposed so they're easy to see on the white mat board. As far as what the slides are of, there's some of my body parts (hands and legs), objects arond the house (a pillow, a red blinking light, etc.) many of the exposures were on bulb so not only did I do multiple exposures but I also blurred the objects by moving them during exposure. It was complete experimentation! :) Memar Me- Yes! It is Portugese :). Though it's all from my husband, I'm just German and Swiss :). He says Silvia is like Smith in Portugal, very common. And people can never say it right, they always say "Silva" :).
