About	This was shot at High Noon, I know not the best time to be out taking pictures. I think the coversion to B/W adds to the drama of this already dramatic tree. Any Comments or Suggestions or tips when converting images to B/W would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Cris...

The band-shaped clouds combine really well with the tree!
About your question on converting images to B/W: try to play with colour adjustments
before the conversion (e.g. by reducing blue in the coloured image you could darken up the sky in the resulting B/W image. (This simultates the effect of shooting on B/W film while using filters).
