-Kim, This is so majestic! Breathtaking. The composition is superb - dynamic, shot in a way that exploits the 'layers' of rocks. It's like looking sideways at the petals of a flower... the colors are rich and deep, light and airy in thier respective places. I can feel the mists on my skin just looking at this. Great job! Tim and John, thanks for your encouraging words!
The white deposits are calcium salts that precipitate from the springs once the carbon dioxide leaves the water and enters the air. The yellow/orange and blue color come from bacteria that live in the springs. I have one with brighter blue color that I'll post next.
