hello Brenda, quite nice shot and quite good sharpness also. About your question I use Photoshop. My process is usually this one, I always take my shots in top quality of jpge she allows. After I get my files I open them in Photoshop 7.0, and I do image size, direct to 300 pixels/inch and 640 pixels in the bigger size, after that sharpen (direct), after contrast (+ 10), saturation (+10) ...this is the normal process in my didital treatment...regards.
Good shot, just consider switching to "Sport" subject... I feel the background to be a little disturbing, so I tried to blur it away using PhotoShop (see enclosed picture). The result is not fantastic, but it was only a fast attempt. What do you think?
Great capture Brenda, the background is somewhat busy and disturbing, but you definately managed to capture this youngster very well, with all the feelings that come and go when standing there on the ramp.
