Elena, this is a wonderful work, just lovely! great job....jon ps in answer to your question about 'Santa' I started off by photographing an old Christmas ball i found here at the house...(see picture) i use Ulead photoimpact-5,got it at 'best buy' its much cheaper than photo shop, and has many of the same features! first I went to effects and selected 'particles'and added the stars.. then still in particles, added a slight snowfall affect. then I went to frames, and added the border effect! then under effects, use the utility called turn page, and it turns up any one of the corners for you as much as you would like.... thats pretty much it Elena.. I hope this was somewhat helpful to you, thanks for your nice comments. your friend....jon

This is a well composed photo of beautiful yellow flowers which you captured superbly. The lighting is great, the DOF excellent and the soft focus make this little flowers appear even more delicate than they really are. Wonderful work, Elena

Lovely!!! Why? Because of yellow in green! Yellow is a warm colour and green is a cold one. In a photo that have main objects, the strong contrast between that objects and the background is the A and Z!!! Here it is beautiful ALSO because of the great sunlight that makes the yellow colour even more bright and vivid. I know this flower, in my place I can find it everyware. The only think has to do with the clarity of the focus. The focus is about the distance with the flowers and not excactly, so I think the flowers could looks more sharp. Of cause this comment is for the photo as it is and not for the photo as a piece of art. Always our eyes (of the many people here) looks the photos with different way. I always try to look not only the photo as it is but the 'something' that photographers try to give. That is about the title of the shot... soft focus yellow. Think about PSed this one in smart blur! Just an idea. I think it could be a not bad idea. People does not use the blurs effects.. I think we must try them. PS thanks a lot Elena for the kind commen. Yes, you are a new photofriend and a pretty interesting one. The time will proof that I said here.

Elena, very nice image. Great depth of field. The main subject flowers are a little too soft for me. I would have kept them sharp and crisp. A matter of personal preference. Regards, Mike
