Taken during Desert Shield on Tap Line Road. The soldiers with full gear are Americans. The soldiers who are very relaxed are British. The guy who is holding what appeared to be a British flag is actually are a pair of boxer shorts! I'm the guy with the bottle of water. The Britishs and Americans may meet again at the same place, if Geogre W. Bush wants to wage war with Saddam.
Thanks, Deb. The photo was taken by another soldier. Unfortunately, he didn't know about composition. I missed the great State of Tennesse. I was at Fort Campbell, Kentucky for six years. Fort Campbell is mostly on Tennesse, but the post office is on Kentucky.
Well, now, if this doesn't look like a bunch of military men, I don't know what does. It's the same way guys lined up in pictures of everything from the Civil War onwards, and from any country. Whatever their nationality, they're all young and hopeful.
It's a shame there wasn't really room for the poor guy on the right -
