Well Bill, you could hardly have imagined what your photo might come to mean for people. I took many photos here too and from the top, the brain numbs to think of the poor souls lost in these towers. Then there is the architectural loss too, very evident in this picture. Ian

Congratulations, Bill. If ever a photo deserved to appear on the front page, this is it. Well done technically, and a real tug emotionally.

Hello Bill...congratulations on your critique, and a fortunate day for me. The comments you have received reflect all that I feel about your capture. All I have to add is the emotional appeal that struck me. I have missed the towers, and now the only view we have of them, are in backgrounds of movies and photos like yours and as each day passes, captures such as your come into our lives less...and mean all the more. Thank you for preserving the towers and the awesome beauty they once were....Gloria

They kind of lean over you - like two parents scolding a child (the ball maybe). Great color and lighting (balance between sky and office windows). It is hard to believe that there will soon be a generation that won't know what the buildings were or that they ever existed - other than these "strange" photo's that they'll find on the internet (hmm... I wonder what city those are in... or... they were in NYC ? really.. you're pulling my leg..where ?)
